LAHORE: The electoral eligibility of former prime minister Mian Nawaz Sharif for bye-election in National Assembly constituency in Lahore has been challenged in Lahore High Court.

The petition said that Mian Nawaz Sharif was involved in attack on Supreme Court, so as he should be declared disqualified like other perpetrators.

LHC election tribunal member Justice Iftikhar Ahmed Chaudhry approved the petition for hearing and summon rejoinder from Nawaz Sharif on February 15.
