Gilani, Nawaz agree to strengthen democratic set-up
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif today met with Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in the federal capital.
During the meeting, the PML-N chief called for immediate implementation of the charter of democracy and removal of the controversial amendments brought in the Constitution during the military rule.
Both leaders agreed to strengthen the country’s democratic set-up.
In addition, two leaders also urged the need for political stability, Parliament’s sovereignty and solution of other issues.
The Prime Minister assured that the nation would soon hear a good news in this regard.
Prime Minister Gilani and former premier Nawaz also agreed to work together for the rule of law, strengthening of democratic institutions and supremacy of the parliament.
