Nawaz pushes for Pak money return from Swiss banks
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif said he will continue playing his role for the return of Pakistani wealth from Swiss banks, Geo News reported Saturday.
Talking to PML-N MNA Lt Gen Abdul Qadir Baloch at his residence in Raiwind, he said the government has failed in settling the issues relating Balochistan and putting economy back on track, adding the government has lost confidence of the people owing to fresh corruption scandals.
Nawaz said it is essential to implement the promises regarding setting up judicial commission for military operation investigations, assign duties to police for law and order and rehabilitation of Mari and Bugti tribes and payment of recompense to them.
The PML-N chief vowed to keep relentlessly struggling for bringing to task the corrupt elements, law violators and military action in which Akbar Bugti was killed.
He said his party will keep on doing its part for the stability of democracy, consolidation of institutions, the supremacy of the Constitution, rule of law and return of Pak money from Swiss banks, as it will guarantee the security and solidarity of the country.
Government has failed in healing the wounds of Balochistan, he added.
