Nawaz links Balochistan situation to justice

Posted by A Fan of Mian Nawaz Sharif ~ Tuesday, January 5, 2010

QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif Tuesday said the situation in Balochistan will improve, if the justice is made available there.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the Parliament needs to be empowered, as a powerful parliament can give autonomy to the provinces, adding his party, whether in government or in opposition, will continue playing its role for the supremacy of law.

Nawaz said the dictatorship has once and for all been buried and despotic approach is not at all acceptable.

National Party parliamentarians President Sardar Sanaullah Zehri and former Governor Balochistan Abdul Qadir Baloch announced to join the party on the occasion.

Sanaullah Zehri and Abdul Qadir Baloch said it is only Nawaz Sharif who could win for Balochistan what it deserves.

Earlier, National Party Senior Vice President Senator Hasil Bazenjo and former Supreme Court Bar Association Ali Ahmed Kurd called on the PML-N chief.

Later on talking to media, Bazenjo said the situation in the province is miserable and the government writ is nowhere seen, adding if the people continue to go missing, the situation will go from bad to worse.

He added that he talked to Nawaz regarding the missing persons, adding Sharif has assured him to raise the issue.

Ali Ahmed Kurd said the province is on fire at the time and over thousand people have gone missing; however, he hoped that Nawaz’s Balochistan visit would help to change the thought prevalent in the province.
