LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that the country was proud of having a trusted friend like China.

During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Luo Zhao Hui, who called on him at his Raiwind residence here Monday, he added there was a need to increase trade and cooperation between the two friendly countries especially in the field of science, technology education and agriculture.

The ambassador said China could provide assistance to Pakistan in developing high-yield seeds to enhance agriculture output.

Nawaz Sharif expressed his gratitude and hoped that trade between the two countries would further increase in coming days. He praised China for achieving great success in economic sector and stated that Pakistan could benefit from Chinese model and experience.

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Senator Ishaq Dar were also present on this occasion.
